Last Comic Standing: Season 5

For those that are in the "know" I am a huge reality TV junkie, I enjoy the human humiliation that comes with "The Tribe Has Spoken", "Is that your final answer you dumbass?", and "You've got 10 seconds to pack your things and get the FUCK OUT"... but what you may not know, and perhaps because it's never found it's niche among the big "Reality Shows", but Last Comic Standing, is about the best show Reality TV has to offer, in the truer sense. And I think part of it is the incredibly fair way they narrow down the top 10... basically no alliances, no coups, not a whole lot tricks or ways to play the game other than be funny or get out. But this isn't a sales pitch on watching the show although if you're not watching, it's excellent - still time to get in as they just picked their finalists.

GERRY DEE I'm happy to say is one of the 10 finalists this season after coming so very close last year (the clip below he mentions voting for him on NBC - that was from a wildcard online contest last season). Gerry is from North York, Ontario, and I've actually briefly met him. He's good friends with my Boss and we do his promotional posters / advertising. He seems like a good guy - down to earth and in my opinion and the real reason I'm cheering for him is he's HILARIOUS! I think he's got a good chance to win the $250,000 Grand Prize.
